Downloading CMS50D+ with Sleepyhead
Downloading CMS50D+ with Sleepyhead
I have tried numerous times to sync my recorded data from last night using my new Contec Pulse Oximeter to Sleepyhead data. I first downloaded the data from the SD card from last nights session then pulled up the data screen, clicked on Oximetery Wizard, connected the USB cable to my computer and it says that it downloaded the data but it won't save it. Has anyone been able to figure this out? http://imgur.com/a/LZWBD
Re: Downloading CMS50D+ with Sleepyhead
One problem that has come up before is that you have to use the cable that came with the pulse ox not just any usb cable. Not sure if you are using windows or mac but here is a thread that may give you some help. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=112497&p=1100246&hi ... d#p1100246

Thanks and I am using Windows and have done exactly as the instructions say. And yes, I am using the USB cable that the oximeter can with. It makes no sense why it won't save the downloaded data.
Re: Downloading CMS50D+ with Sleepyhead
As I recall, the CMS50D+ does not have an internal clock. While the software is showing that the oximeter is starting its recording at 3:46 AM, Dec. 31, the screen in the background shows that you started your CPAP at 22:46 (10:46PM), Dec 31, which seem to logically imply that the O2 recording began many hours before this CPAP session was started.
Maybe Sleepyhead could not resolve the perceived discrepancy in times, and believes an error situation has occurred (rightly so).
While I do have a CMS50D+, I have not used it for downloads in years, and don't remember much detail of idiosyncrasies the download procedure may have had. My CMS50F has an internal clock and always shows the correct time that pulse/O2 recording began. I have no clue how Sleepyhead arrived at 3:46AM.
In any case, you might try to manually set the O2 recording start time on the download screen to 22:46, and see if that's accepted.
Of course, I could be entirely wrong, and you might wind up writing pulse/ox data to the wrong day. If you are really cautious, you could create a new patient profile in Sleepyhead to try this out on.
Good luck. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks but after wasting 5 hours of my time today, I got fed up and boxed it back up and it's now on its way back to Amazon. I found one even better that will work with my iPhone.

Cool. Looks like a very nice one. Not sure if it integrates with Sleepyhead, but as long as it does the job for you is what counts.Jasba64 wrote:Thanks but after wasting 5 hours of my time today, I got fed up and boxed it back up and it's now on its way back to Amazon. Re: Downloading CMS50D+ with Sleepyhead
The CMS50D+ does not have a internal time stamp.
It does however integrate with sleepyhead software making it a plus.
You need to write down when you start recording the CMs50D+ data and then latter plug that into sleepyhead to sync the CMS50D+ data with your Cpap Machine data.
It's a extra step but pretty easy to do for the most part.
You can also buy the more expensive models at twice the price that have a time stamp.
