Putting your SD card in another machine

Post by raisedfist » Tue Dec 20, 2016 2:27 pm

If I were to put my ResMed SD card into another ResMed device, would it matter for insurance/compliance/DME purposes? My main machine is an Aircurve 10 VAuto but I am trying out a ResMed S9 VPAP ST-A that I got my hands on (using the iVAPS mode). Would the data being sent over alert them that I am using a different machine than what was provided by my DME? Or does it just tell them that I'm using the machine for 4+ hours?

If you move your card from one Resmed machine to another, it will erase all the data on the card. If you are required to prove compliance for insurance purposes, you will be better off getting a new SD card. They are not very expensive.

Ah, I think my DME uses the serial key of my device because when I don't use that machine for a few days, I get an e-mail and text telling me that I haven't been using my machine.

I think I am going to just arrange for an equipment pickup and get rid of my DME/sleep doctor. I'm on my third sleep doctor and they've all been useless. I've gotten infinite more help from people on this free forum.

My current sleep doc doesn't know what the 95% data means, and made some other unhelpful suggestions when it comes to my therapy. Really is mind blowing.

Most sleep doctors are not familiar with Sleepyhead. They use ReScan.

ReScan also reports the 95th Percentile.
