I have been using essential oils on my filter for a long time. I have had no problem. I do take a cloth with alcohol and wipe the area off so there is no build up of oil when I clean my machine. I suggest oils that benifit your lungs not your nose, sense you are breathing them directly into your lungs. It is nice to smell pretty smells but this air is forsed much deeper so please remember that.

What makes a Oil Essential, is it just the profit in selling it? :?: Jim

There have been many posts of the use of Crap with XPAP, NOWHERE does it say put it on the filter or in the HH water.

Just go out in that Concrete Pond in the back yard, and pour it under the bed, don't scoop up any Critters in the bucket when you do it. Jim

Note: if you do choose to do this, please write it down,
for the benefit of the ER personnel, as you may not be speaking,
when you are admitted.

Adverse effects ranged from mild to severe and included one fatality. Lack of sufficiently convincing evidence regarding the effectiveness of aromatherapy combined with its potential to cause adverse effects questions the usefulness of this modality in any condition.
