Any one use either of these 50000mAh batteries?

Everyone was talking about 12V, but I should have specified. I hardly think anyone would use 3.7V. I design this stuff and you would have to be out of your mind. I would like to add that I was using a 400W 120V inverter so there were additional losses. The CPAP was a rental and being 800 miles away didn't want to experiment with my own 12 to 24V inverter out in the boonies. I cut the fans out on all my inverters as they are real power hogs. At reduced power levels you don't need them. Used a watt meter that kept all the data for each day. It was interesting that idle current was less for the 400 than a 200 or 100W inverters. I ran off a single car battery. The whole house runs off that same battery, fridge, pumping, light,s entertainment and hot water. It is out of the vehicle I don't bring with us. I will be trying Li next year. Got a ton of them out of the town recycling.

the thread started with "50000mAh batteries". or 50AHh.

looking at the first link, it says REAL ULTRA HIGH CAPACITY 50000mAh/185Wh.

185wh/50ah=3.7volts.

50Ah@12v=600watthours,

that 50000mAh battery pack is roughly the same as a 15Ah 12volt battery... hence my attempt at clarification.

anytime some marketeer specifies things with a huge number of milli-amp hours, it's probably just a lame attempt to make it look better than it is.

At first I thought reporting the sum of all the cells as the Amp-hours for a pack was sleazy, but then I realized that the "standard voltage" in the cell phone world is 3.7 Volts, not the 12V we use in the auto/rv/marine world. The 50000 AH rating makes sense when you're recharging iPhones.

One old car battery to run a house? Lights & entertainment are easy now, but even a small fridge will be about 30-40 AH a day. And hot water is hard to do on battery power: raising one gallon 50 degrees F is 8 lbs x 50 = 400 BTUs = 117 watt-hours, or 10 Amp-hours. Of course, enough solar power makes up for a small battery, but I would think that a starting battery would not make it through a cloudy day if used to run a house, including fridge and hot water.

On my boat I use 4 golf cart batteries for 480 AH. I figure daily load when aboard is around 120 AH so I can go a few days without sun before I have to run an engine. On sunny days I break even, or even gain, with 350 watts of panels. When I'm away the basic load of the fridge is around 30 AH, so I can leave it running unattended at low risk. Hot water is generated when the engine is run, or through "solar shower bags;" I've never considered heating electrically since that would be done through the inverter, so the cost is high. What I've wanted to do is feed the excess power from the solar panels into the hot water tank, but I'd have to feed DC power to the AC heating element, which always seemed fishy (though it should work).

Thanks Jagzoo for asking this question. I had been looking at those batteries also but noticed the 2.5A output so didn't think that was going to work. My PowerAdd Pilot Pro has been working for me for almost 2 years now so I think I will stick with it.

Jtravel, I use my battery for one night usually then recharge from my truck battery the next day while we are driving. The battery will give me 2 nights but I usually recharge daily. There was an earlier thread on this and some people didn't get this battery to work with their Cpap. But if you want to try Amazon has a good return policy. I guess Jagzoo and I were lucky ones. I run my PR 760 at set 11 Epap and 15 Ipap. I start right up at those pressures without a problem.

how do you charge that PowerAdd battery with your truck?

I dont think that Maxoak battery would work... look for the Maxoak CPAP battery which has DC output.
