Ok Your Rudness, here are the four CPAPs I had since 1999.Lucyhere wrote:chunkyfrog wrote:DH, tell us about yourself.
You have so MANY questions--but you offer no explanation of WHY you are so annoyingly CURIOUS.
SPILL, already!
Just in case you may not have noticed, DH has chosen to ignore all questions and comments made by you and some others.
1. 1999 – F&P HC-201. This was the only CPAP on the market at the time that had an integrated humidifier. It was large and noisy, even by the standards of the time, but it did the job. The gasket stopped making a good seal, so it was time to replace.
2. 2005 – F&P HC-233. It was similar to the first one, but a tiny bit smaller and a lot quieter. It works to this day and is my backup machine should the new one fail.
3. 1999 – AEIO-Med Everest 3. Very small and very quiet, and has an integrated battery. This unit records no compliance data and has no heated hose. The power cord has a very fragile non-standard connector, and that is what broke. The manufacturer went out of business in 2011 after their factory burned down in China.
4. 2016 – Phillips Respironics DreamStation Auto. This machine is state-of-the-art. It is approximately the same size as the AEIO-Med Everest 3, and even quieter. Great reporting capability, and a heated hose. No integrated battery, although I understand a battery is made specifically for this machine.

But you did not answer the question we REALLY want answered:
What drives you to ask countless inane questions--brain damage?

I have 2 ancient ones I have never used Sunrise Lt 8001 don't know how old it is but someone on another board
was asking a question about it back in 2001 . Then I have a Sunrise DeVilbiss Auto Adjust 2 model 8054 I don't know how old it is
but the software for it is copyrighted 1999 -2001 it still works but after the one time I used it gave me a respiratory infection
for about 2 weeks ! Well anyhow it looks a lot newer than those LT 8001 models I think on the LT 8001 model you had to hook a pressure
gage up to it and turn a little screw in the back with a tiny screwdriver --- talk about the dark ages ! All 3 of these could be had cheap
really cheap !

Ignoring the most prolific posters here is the only road to serenity. I wish the software had a function that would render invisible to me any posts from someone who posts more than 10 messages a day.Just in case you may not have noticed, DH has chosen to ignore all questions and comments made by you and some others.

Does an S-7 count? Hope to get it replaced in the spring from my supplier.
Re: Who is using the oldest CPAP on this forum?
D.H. I just got a new air sense 10 about a month ago. before that the old machine was at least 8-10 years old. the difference is night and day.
Re: Who is using the oldest CPAP on this forum?
I am rather more interested in who is the oldest cpap user here not who has the oldest machine.

Re: Who is using the oldest CPAP on this forum?
I am willing to bet that Den (Wulfman) has the oldest machine and he is still using it. There was a thread awhile ago that asked that very question, he has several old "tanks" and still swears by them.
Woody if you want to know who the oldest member is, just do a search above, there is a thread with that info too.
I am still using my F&P 604 that I got seven years ago, it is my backup and camping machine. Its a brick but still works just fine.

Re: Who is using the oldest CPAP on this forum?
I have a working Healthdyne Tranquility, my original CPAP from 1988. I don't use it nightly, but I do use it once a week to dry out my hose and mask after washing them in warm soapy water. Of course it has no "Data Capability" , not even a runtime meter. The pressure adjust is an indexed screwslot in the underside of the machine, and the pressure set is accurate according to my water manometer. Though the original mask was a genuine pain to deal with, that basic old CPAP afforded me relief from my 67 AHI apnea, and I am still quite grateful to the machine and to the doctor who tested me and prescribed it. In those days, there was no way to drive the machine from a battery, and no humidifiers, and no electronics in the machine- but it worked, and still functions fine.
In those days, there was no way to drive the machine from a battery and no multi AC voltage operation- just straight 115 V AC operation., and no humidifiers.
