As an outsider looking in I am quite dismayed by the role of your media in the whole affair and wonder if there will ever again be a totally unimpeachable candidate for one of the world's most powerful positions.

It seems that you can publish anything nowadays without any proof and get away with it. This is particularly true of social media and some of the stuff I've seen on FB about both candidates has just gobsmacked me and fellow Australians are sharing this info as if it was undeniably true which just makes them dumb arseholes.

I was brought up to question everything I saw and read, no matter the source and undeniable proof has always been a prerequisite for me. For this reason I refuse to listen malicious gossip (tell me your motive for spreading this shit buddy!) and obviously I don't repeat it. I no longer hear the work gossip and I am thankful for that.

But the thing that truly worries me is how much money it takes to run a presidential campaign. It certainly means that your ordinary citizen, no matter how qualified, has not got a hope in hell of running for POTUS. I don't know where Ms Clinton gets her money from but Trump is the epitome of the financial clout needed to run a campaign. I sincerely hope that both are disqualified and one of their deputies ends up in power.

Again... If it was noon, and Hillary said the sun was out... I'd go to the window and check. She is ALWAYS being investigated for something, and she ALWAYS stays in trouble (so was her husband who was impeached in disgrace).
