It would seem you and Lucyhere both may not be stupid, but for sure you have a reading problem. I have never called anyone here stupid, if they appear so, it because of their own postings. It's not something I will do, I will however, make a call on posts that are misguided or stupid or answered with false info. Jim

No Jim, we understood perfectly. You are still demeaning people by calling their questions stupid.

I thought he was referring to me so I deleted the post I wrote before his. I didn't want to be anywhere near the independent loser.

Last thing we want in this country is a bunch of people who can think for themselves running around mucking it up, it makes the Sheeples nervious and hard to control. Like spooked Turkeys they might all run to the corner of their pen and smother each other. (Only applies to the ones that accidently pull their heads out of the sand.) So not many! Jim

there's been something brought up under this OT post that i'd like to know more about. it concerns the subject of foe or ignore. could someone please give me some more detail about these?

specifically, if i do either of the above, is the person i'm putting on that list made aware of the fact? as in, is there anything at the bottom of my post that says specifically "joe blow is on my ignore list" or "jane doe is on my foe list"?

or is there any other notification to the person that i've put them on such a list?

thank you.

No. The only person who knows is on your Foe list is you.
Absolutely nothing anywhere on any of your posts to make that sort of announcement.
The person Foe'd doesn't get any sort of announcement either.

No one will ever know who is on your Foe list but you unless you share it.

What the Foe list does is just hide the post...and you see a little note "so and so has posted and is on your Foe list"
You can open it and see what was said or proceed with it left being unread.

Adding to Pugsy's post... the ignore list and the Foe list are one and the same.

The foe - ignore list is a way for people to ignore others posts if they don't have the willpower to do it on their own. The name of the poster is in the right side of the post.

Most of the time you will over ride the block, just to see the crazy, kind of spoils the point. Jim

I thing there should be a faux list.
