HI
on the PR Dreamstation, there is a preheat feature to let u preheat the water in the humidifier for 30min before using. Tried this several times and I found it super hard to breathe in. Its like breathing in a sauna. I immediately threw away the heated water and replaced with room temperature water from the tap, and all is well after that
My humidification and heat settings are both set at 2.
Would like to ask when do we need to use the preheat feature. Anyone finds it hard to breathe when the water gets too hot?

Re: PR Dreamstation Preheat feature
Using the preheat is one of personal preference. I don't like the feeling of oppressive humidity the preheat gives me so I don't use it. I keep water in the tank but only use the heater in the winter when the air becomes very dry.

Re: PR Dreamstation Preheat feature
I have never felt the need to use the preheat feature and I prefer maximum humidity delivery.
It's a matter of personal preference so just do what feels best for you.

I like to use it. However, if you don't, then there's no need to use it.
