Issues Transitioning to New Machine

Hi. I've been using a PR SystemOne for about 6.5 years. Since my deductible was met this yet I decided to ask for a new machine. I got the AirSense 10 for Her. I've been using it for about a week and I have no energy. Is it possible for the machines to not have the same pressure? Not sure what to do. Is there any way to adjust pressure yourself?

Also I just realized it had wireless transmittal and we don't have wireless devices in our bedroom at night and we have our tv and computers all hard wired. Phones are put in airplane mode at night. I put the CPAP in airplane mode but I just read about the notices to turn it back on. Is this going to become annoying?

One last thing is if anyone knows what the blue circle next to the screen is? I'm a bit of a spaz and is this something I need to cover like my Apple product cameras?

Do you have a copy of the prescription for both the old and new machines?
If so, are there any differences between parameters in the prescriptions?
One machine I purchased through an online DME came with the settings very different from the prescription.
It took me a week or so to figure out what needed to be changed so that the settings were correct.

Perhaps the settings are different so that you are not getting optimal treatment with the new machine.
Have you tried using your old machine for a few days to compare?

What model of PR System One did you have? The AirSense for Her can be set to an auto mode, AirSense for Her mode, or cpap mode. It may be that you need to select a different mode to more closely match what your old machine was delivering.

duh, wouldn't it make more sense to just ask what the actual settings of the two machines are?

yes, you can request the clinician's manual over at apneaboard,com;
But I would ask your DME to set it to the correct prescription first.

leave it on; nobody cares except your insurance--and they may not, either.

the blue circle is just a light around the selector knob; which goes out when the blower is on.
There is no camera or microphone on the machine.

I believe it's a tinfoil hat situation.... they don't want to be microwaved to death in their sleep.

If you are annoyed by having to push a button, then, yes, it will be annoying. It is often a fact that in order to get what one wants, one may actually have to push a button or throw a switch - like turning off a light when one doesn't want it on. Life is such an ordeal when things don't cooperate in how they work.

If you still have the old machine ... you could check what the pressure settings are and confirm that the new machine is set up the same.

I've had four CPAP machines in 17 years. The last three display the pressure settings for few seconds when powered on. Only the one from 1999 doesn't do that. I would guess that both your old and new machines do that, so it should be easy to check. Also, make sure that the new machine is not leaking air (if it is, it will probably be somewhat noisy).
