Avi used to be coherent, but prickly.
Now he's just a pr_ck.

Which part are you talking about?

If I get this plastic snap ring (the retainer clip that secures the coupler in place) I can then give away, free, a humidifier (made in 2008) plus two covers with the seals in them, and a used tank.

I'll take it... retainer clips are easy to get.

e: on second thought, considering the source, nevermind.

what the heck was he doing to break that clip anyway? not that it's needed for anything more than convenience.

Did you ask to be on my ignore list and check how it feels, I can do it easily, even today on the 2nd day of Rosh Hashanah.

I assure you he was one of the first on MY ignore list.
But people keep quoting him; and he dotes on attention--even negative.
In fact, that is probably his biggest problem.
The others in the nursing home probably hide when they see him coming.
And his family forgot where they left him.

FWIW about the S9...I have never had anything break on any of the ones I had and one machine had nearly 8,000 hours on it before I gave it away to someone who need a spare for travel.
Humidifier lid is used EVERY night to open and close because I have to add water each and every night. Never had anything on it (lid or whatever) break.

To the OP....Insurance pays by HCPCS billing code...not by brand or model and all cpap/apap machines will use the E0601 HCPCS billing code.
Insurance companies don't care about models but DMEs do because they have a larger profit margin with the basic no frills/no data machines. They will blame it on your insurance "your insurance only pays for this basic brick" but it's really the DME telling a whopper.

If your DME won't dispense what you want then have your doctor write it on the script and then they have to dispense it the way the doctor writes it. Or just have the doctor do it ahead of time to avoid all the hassle.
Be very careful with the wording because ResMed now has an apap brick....so make sure that the AirSense 10 Autoset is clearly shown. Don't say "ResMed APAP" or anything generic...get really specific.
If your DME tries to give you a ResMed that says "AirStart" anywhere on it...don't accept it. That's a new model line that is the el cheapo brick line...no data among some other things it doesn't have.

Make sure you get the right SD card for the WiFi thing...they won't all work so make sure you get what is known to work.
