Will Insurance Companies Pay for Cpap Equipment?

Hi there again everyone! I don't know why this just hit me, but does anyone know if Insurance Companies will pay for the equipment that is needed for OSA? Will it be considered good towards deductibles? I keep trying to contact my insurance company and feel like I am being placed on hold forever!! I have Humana..... Does anyone happen to know?

Please advise... Thanks!

I am in Canada and the government paid for 3/4 of my CPAP, then my insurance paid the rest. All my subsequent replacement hoses, masks, any other little parts have all been paid by my insurance with no questions asked.

It's by prescription only, so it SHOULD be covered. However, how much your policy covers towards "durable medical equipment" is dependent on your policy.

It is definitely considered medical equipment, though, so it counts towards taxes, or flex spending accounts, etc.

Mine is mostly covered by my insurance, I pay a 10% co-pay, they handle the rest. I have Cigna.
