Help please, My S9 autoCpap went crazy, It sounds like when you make popcorn .The sound feels and it's heard in the pilows of the mask not in the machine, strange but there are no interruptions in the flow of air but that is heard loud enough to wake me up ( it is randomly after a few hours of use, I noticed that it's depending on how I move in bed). I checked the hoses, mask, silicone gaskets in the humidifier and everything seams ok. I do not know wath it is.

Re: My S9 resmed makes strange noises.
Check for water in the hose or mask.
Just a little bit of water will make an awful racket.
With the S9 if you over fill the water chamber it will blow a bit of water into the hose and it's really loud.
So if the noise is pretty much immediate when you turn the machine on...check the hose.
If the noise is in the middle of the night check the mask for water too because condensation can occur if the room air is cool enough to cause the moisture in the air to condense.

Re: My S9 resmed makes strange noises.
Thank you, seams the mystery is solved. I'll check the hose and the mask. But what can I do in this case, maybe I'll reduce the the moisturizing from 6 to 5.
Re: My S9 resmed makes strange noises.
if you put the machine lower than the bed, then the water that condenses in the hose can just run back down into the humidifier chamber, silently, and get another chance to turn to vapor and come back to your nose.adin67 wrote:Thank you, seams the mystery is solved. If it is water in the hose...check to make sure you don't over fill the water chamber if that was the cause.
If it is condensation/rain out in the mask or hose near the mask then you have the typical options for reducing condensation.
Check posts number 2 and 3i this thread for your various options if that is the case.

If your nose doesn't like reducing the humidity to be delivered there are other options to keep the rain out away.
If you are already using a heated hose...just turn up the temp a little.
If not using a heated hose...get one.
