I personally think that some people here are a little immature and need to grow up. Yes it is a common practice that you should use your CPAP if you got it for every time your a sleep even for naps will help you out a lot. Enough said for now.

I would say probably no for naps. In my case I looked at my stats using Sleepyhead. I rarely had any events in the first hour of sleep. Most events are in the deeper art of sleep. An hour nap will not kill you. Try sleepyhead to assure yourself.

Hi Stevierudy

The way I see it is that your CPAP device prevents apneas from occurring when you first fall asleep. Your device doesn't catch them so well in the deeper part of your sleep. Image

For myself, it's CPAP whenever I shut my eyes. Strangulation is no fun!
