Another...better...night. Still no bad problems with air guts. (I wish I had used epr before) I am going to stay with what I have right now, eventually bump the pressure up just a little. I have a goal of less than 1

IF you decide to make pressure changes, I would leave minimum alone and only raise max pressure. Looks like the machine would have gone higher if not locked in at 12.6.

Re: jaw device and cpap together?
I have had problems in the past with the machine ramping up to whatever the max is set to and staying there. (nothing wrong with the machine, flow limitations are high) I had sinus surgery and I am now seeing the auto feature is fluctuating more as it should. I also had pretty bad leak problems in the past, the amara view seems to have fixed that.

Re: jaw device and cpap together?
part of what you've done, with EPR, is lower your base pressure. in your first screenshot, it was 11.6 (as you'd been directed by the deciple of fixed pressure), now, your base pressure is 9.2 which ramps up by 2 every time you inhale. last night, that base pressure got up to 10.6 (the EPAP) line. what you've done is made your machine work like a limited bilevel machine, with lower pressure in between breaths, which probably gives you more leeway before the 'air guts'.keroseneburner wrote:Another...better...night. also, I wouldn't worry much about getting things under 1. it may, or may not affect how you feel, I know i don't feel much of any difference as long as I'm under 1.5-2, somewhere in there. if you do get it lower, that's fine, but it may not make much difference.

imho <1 is a realistic goal
i can tell when my ahi + flow limitations is >1
but then i am sensitive too
monitor you sleep position too in case that matters

Looks like you have found some new settings that give you the results you want and don't cause the belly discomfort.
Give yourself some time at these settings. We know they will work as evidenced by last night's results.

awesome... do you notice any difference in how you feel during the day? I mean, the number looks great, but are you feeling better too?keroseneburner wrote:I believe this is the best apnea/event night I have had since I started tracking it ......no air guts either
and, like Pugsy says, let it sit for a while and average out. who knows, that might have been your new 'bad' day

Re: jaw device and cpap together?
Yesterday, I cleaned the garage, mowed the yard, cleaned up the shop (separate garage) and lots of other stuff I don't recall off hand. I hand boundless energy I haven't had in a long time. Hope it keeps up

Good for you.
If you still have some extra energy....I am in the middle of doing some cleaning myself...care to come over and help?
