before doc in a box sends anybody scurrying looking for this "nasal aire cpap machine" ... don't bother, it's a mask, been around forever, sticks UP your nose.

My wife has a dry mouth condition (I guess it would be called xerostomia) and has recently resumed using her CPAP after a number of idle years due to not being able to find a suitable mask to fit her face without air drying out her nose and leakage blowing into her eyes. She is now successfully using a F&P Simplus FFM along with a mask liner, but she doesn't use a humidifier as her experience has been that her airways react in the presence of high humidity.

She too has had some of her teeth break and a filling come loose recently, so to help with her dry mouth she is now sleeping with a mouth lozenge called XyliMelts. One side of this lozenge is sticky, made of cellulose gum and acacia gum, that keeps the lozenge stuck to her teeth, thus making it safe to use while sleeping without concern for choking on it. Took a few days to get used to but she says it helps. Give it a shot. Not all drug stores stock it but it's widely available online.
