Help. Branson, MO - emergency loaner
Help. Branson, MO - emergency loaner
Well, new here, but in a predicament that I haven't had before. I'm a 5 yr Cpap user. Just arrived to my vacation destination and you guess it. I left my Cpap at home. These local shops are stupid expensive and I will not buy a new one from them. Was screwed once by there outrageous prices. Nonetheless I'm stuck in Branson,mo for a week without a Cpap. I'd be happy to rent one at a fair price.
Anyone know of any options that I might consider? Cost of a new machine or flying home and back on short notice is about the same price, over $1200. So not doing that. I'll just go without, but thought I would check here first.
Cheers

Re: Help.
Suggest you change your subject to Help - Branson MO and see who bites... there's at least one member here from MO with a lot of equipment.
You could also add what kind of mask you use, and machine, etc...

Re: Help.
I've read pleas like this before and like Julie said, you need to target it via the subject line to the Branson area, just saying HELP is no good at all. Put something like "Looking for a CPAP emergency loaner near Branson". Maybe you'll get lucky. Luck of the draw really. My CPAP, mask and accessories are always the first thing that goes in my bags. If you do without, try propping yourself up with pillows. Other than that, good luck.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
Re: Help.
Try Springfield, MO Craigslist...There are a couple machines for $100-$150.

I didn't think of that... not a bad idea! Then you'll have a backup to take home.LSAT wrote:Try Springfield, MO Craigslist...There are a couple machines for $100-$150.

Check out this craigslist listing. Seller is in Branson. $100 for machine and humidifier and hose.

It's a BiPap Auto PR S1 machine and it can be dumbed down to run as regular apap or it has cpap mode.

What nasal pillow mask do you use? I might have something in the way of a mask to help out.
I have to go to Kimberling City tomorrow afternoon which isn't far from Branson.

Re: Help. Branson, MO - emergency loaner
I use the swift, FX. But I would be willing to use anything as I am sure I could make it work. I've reached out to two sellers in Craig's list for a machine so I have my fingers crossed. Thank you so much for the offer on the mask

Re: Help. Branson, MO - emergency loaner
I don't know about that. One of my sons is always forgetting things. He's in a rock band and a bit image involved... naturally he's slim and trim, so he hates to have bulges in any of his pockets or wear bulky clothes with pockets or stuff like that. When he goes somewhere like performances, our house or any of his friend's houses, he immediately leaves his cellphone, keys, sunglasses and just about anything else scattered over any available surface. Not surprisingly he often forgets something important when it's time to leave. We've got box we keep just for him next to our door, so he knows he can pick up forgotten stuff. I think it's sort of a subconscious attention-getting ploy because we often see him running around saying 'Anybody seen my phone?' or 'Where are my keys?'. It does tend to snag people's attention because if he doesn't get the focus he's seeking he just becomes more strident until everyone is involved. He's always been like that at our house, so we simply say, "If we find it, look in your box next time you come over". Well, it seems everybody has their issues... other than his head-screwed-on thing, he's very lovable.Wulfman... wrote:Swapwap wrote:Yes pugsy. Mask also.... . Never pays to be in a rush

Re: Help. Branson, MO - emergency loaner
I have some Swift FX nasal pillows that are brand new. Let me see if I can come up with the other parts.
I don't use that mask anymore. What size nasal pillow would you need if I could find the stuff needed to build a complete mask?
Let me go dig around in my stash box and see what I might have. Not sure if I have everything needed for a complete mask.
Are you male or female and if male what size hat do you wear?
