How do I remove calendar on a Mac for screen shots

Post by grybeard77 » Sat Aug 13, 2016 11:48 am

I have tried every thing I can think of to eliminate the calendar so I can take a screen shot to post. I am on a Mac and when I go to SH preferences, appearances, there is no way to turn it off like you can for the pie chart. I have to run right after I post this and will be back around 3 PM Pacific time.

Do you have a little up or down arrow. Click on that arrow. If you don't see an arrow where I have it circled I don't have any idea what is going on.

Thanks for reply Pugsy, no joy.! No down pointed arrow, have one on each side to go ahead or backward , I have tried ever trick I know of to make it smaller or move it. Nothing seems to work. Have hopes some one knows if it can be done.

I have a Windows computer so maybe that's the difference.
What version of SleepyHead are you using with your Mac?
I haven't ever used a Mac so I don't know if SH for Macs is different or not.
I know I have seen Mac reports with the calendar hid though.

I'm using Sleepyhead v0.9.8-1-Testing and running it on OS X 10.10.5 on a MacBook Pro.

I have the little 'up/down' arrow - but I can also go to 'View' in the Menu bar (at the top of the screen), click on it once, and get the dropdown menu. The bottom four choices are: Toggle Line Cursor, Daily Sidebar, Daily Calendar, and Right Sidebar. (The blue is for emphasis. It's ordinary black on my screen. )

If I click on 'Daily Calendar' i get the calendar on and off.

You may have a different version of SH - which is why I mention what I've got. But if your dropdown menu is anything like mine ...

they all work the same way... good explanation.

one can also use the 'take screenshot' menu function. and it turns off the calendar automatically in 098-1 and later.

https://sleepyhead.jedimark.net/

There is a newer Mac version but I don't know that it would offer you much more (if anything) than your current version of SH. Mainly it adds compatibility with the new DreamStation machines and a few minor bug fixed (but there are new little bugs which haven't been fixed in 1.0xxx) so I don't know that it will be worth the effort to get it. Now if you end up with a DreamStation machine...yeah you will have to get it but otherwise it's up to you if you want to get the latest.
I didn't see anything earth shatteringly different in the Windows Beta version that I got over my Windows 9.8-1 version.
