I'm 6 months into CPAP. Started with the Mirage FX nasal mask, then switched to the Dreamwear 3 months ago.
I initially had some leak problems when side sleeping with the Dreamwear. If I put the mask on, adjust everything, then put my head down on the pillow, it leaks with every slight movement of my head. What I eventually discovered works really well is to get everything adjusted, then use 2 fingers to put a very slight pressure against the cushion as I lay my head down on the pillow, then let go. The mask cushion now stays in place much better, even when I move a bit on the pillow.
Good luck!
Tried Dreamwear last night - not good result

Re: Tried Dreamwear last night - not good result
Last night I wore the Dreamwear all night for the first time. Previously I had switched to the Eson mask at some point during the night. My AHI's are trending downward. I will post last night's result. I didn't sleep all that well because my husband kept waking me because the air escaping was waking him up. I thought it was staying on well. Hmmm... what to do? I will give it more time. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Re: Tried Dreamwear last night - not good result
I recently tried the DreamWear and at first thought it would be very good. That impression didn't last long however. My wife couldn't sleep because of the noise the leaks. I tried all of the things suggested, but to no avail. Quickly returned to the P10 and will have to stick with it for now.Pugsy wrote:I was borderline needing the Small frame.
If I were going to use the DreamWear full time I would probably have purchased the Small frame but while I liked it well enough it didn't knock out the P10 from number one mask preference spot.

It's possible that the sounds waking your husband aren't actually leaks, but the sounds of the exhaust hitting the sheets or pillow. That can get pretty loud if the bedding is really close to either exhaust (top of your head or the front of the cushion).

Re: Tried Dreamwear last night - not good result
OMG!!! I just figured out today that what I thought was a Medium cushion for the Dreamwear I have been wearing is the Medium Wide! What a dummy! I received this mask on Monday and Monday night I wore the small cushion. Tuesday I had a better look, with help from my husband, and figured out I really should wear the Medium, with my nose just barely going into the medium zone. I've been getting pretty good results; last night my AHI was 2.05 according to Sleepyhead, but large leak was 9.98%. I am really excited about going to sleep tonight and finding out what my results are tomorrow! The greatest thing is that I have no marks on my face that were lasting most of the day! I can smell success for this mask and me! Cheers!
