I'm thinking that this is the next mask I need to try. With the PAC liner and a lot of careful tweaking to alleviate leaking, my Simplus fits fairly well except for a minor amount of lower tooth soreness sometimes, BUT I have persistent tickling that is not allowing me to sleep. There's no hair or anything in the mask (even tried a completely new mask and cushion), I've played with the liner positioning and tension, but the outer edges of my nostrils or my upper lip have these frequent tickles that keep me up and nothing helps until I disrupt the seal and scratch. My humidifier is off so it's not droplets, and I don't really sweat plus I have AC running in a cool room. I'm absolutely desperate to sleep. I even tried Benadryl last night and it didn't even help. I don't have any rash or anything, it's just a literal tickle.
I'm not covered for a new mask (at least 30 percent copay too) until December. But, if I can get my hands on a used one reasonable priced, I would love my questions answered....
Is this mask fairly quiet? Most pillows I have tried were pretty loud and I won't sleep. I had some trouble breathing through the ones I tried, too. I don't even mouth breathe BUT my issue is cheek inflation and air leak out my mouth, regardless of a cervical collar and tape. It's just a little puff but it wakes me up. A FFM works very nicely for this issue. I'd also like to know if anyone has a used one they would like to sell. eBay doesn't have any and I just can't swing a new one. I need to try to find a fit template as well.

Re: Innomed hybrid
The Innomed Hybrid complete package comes with 3 sizes so I don't think a template would be needed if you can find a complete package.
I had one a while back that was donated...it was complete with all sizes of everything. I don't remember who it went to or if it was a success or not.
I have tried it myself but it was a long time ago and I don't remember enough about it to comment on the noise level. So can't help there.
Hopefully someone here will have one that you can try...a failed experiment on their own or maybe the person I gave that mask to will see this note and if it didn't work out for them would be willing to pass it along to you..
I might have the ResMed Liberty which is similar but it may not be complete...and it never came with all sizes. I will check later to see what parts I might have.
Perhaps I might have enough parts to get you started and all you would need might be something that isn't horribly expensive.
Edit: Can't help with the Liberty idea...I have the headgear and maybe one cushion of unknown size and maybe one set of nasal pillows that I think might go to the Liberty but I don't have nearly enough to build a mask and the stuff I am missing is the expensive and important stuff.

Re: Innomed hybrid
With all the sizes of nasal pillows and mouth pillows and 3 adjustments of the straps it is a challenging mask to fit. However once it works it is a wonderful mask. Many of us like an extra strap of lycra over the nose pillows. Search the wiki for fitting and adjustment hints.

Good to know. The DME is not great about this stuff, fitting wisdom or allowing me a lot of trials. Only game in town for me, though.
I already use a extra strap around my Simplus so I'd probably continue to do so. If and when I get one that is!
