I'm a bit late to this thread but posting anyway. First let me say I'm sorry you've had a lot to deal with. I think all of us have something in our life that's hard.

I have seen lots of post on this site (I'm new here too) that reference being in denial about needing cpap. I don't think I've been in denial BUT it is very hard for some of us to get used to the machine and the mask. I used cpap the first time about 6 years ago and did so with the help of meds for a few years. I could never fall asleep with the thing on other wise. But I finely faced the fact that I NEED cpap, and found the better my attitude the easy it got. I also worked with my doctor to get the best mask and machine for me. And I used the resmed site with tips and pointers to help adjust, because let's face it it's hard to strap something on your face and go to sleep. Resmed even has a video to help you get the airfit mask on right.

I wise you well and hope you will have a successful adjustment. I know it's hard but do your best to have a good attitude and get better sleep.
