CPap.com will accept a script from your regular doctor. Write to them they will send you a form to get your regular GP to complete, and keep it on file.

Kinda related inquiry:
If a patient has one script issued by his sleep doctor and he orders a machine from a site, such as cpap.com, would he be allowed to purchase a second, third or even fourth machine using the same script?
Thanks in advance for the clarification.

Same script can be used for as many machines as you want to buy and pay for yourself. No one will question you as to why you want a second or third or fourth machine...they won't care and it doesn't matter anyway.egzbuen wrote:If a patient has one script issued by his sleep doctor and he orders a machine from a site, such as cpap.com, would he be allowed to purchase a second, third or even fourth machine using the same script?

Five years ago, I replaced my brick with a PRS1 550 from cpap.com. I printed off the sample Rx from cpap.com, filled it out and had my GP sign it. Will never expire.Caymangirl wrote:CPap.com will accept a script from your regular doctor. Write to them they will send you a form to get your regular GP to complete, and keep it on file.

Redoing it will just be wasting money as I know I will fail again because I am always too nervous to fail.
Besides, I have been renting an auto cpap from a local vendor and I have achieved good results with it but the vendor sells it for much higher price than online, nearly a double.
I don't wanna buy used cpap and accessories from random websites. I wanna buy them off from reputable websites that come with manufacturer's warranty.
Is there anythings I can do to purchase online successfully?
Another thing to be aware of is that your insurance company (if you have medical insurance) may not cover a machine and supplies from an online website, so also check with them about that before purchasing. This way you'll have a better idea about what you may have to pay for out of pocket.
I'm sending you a private message (PM) with more info; check your inbox.

Re: how to purchase new auto cpap without Rx on cpap.com?
I have purchased 4 or 5 machines from cpap.com over the past 12 years with same prescription. I use APAP's so set up is very easy. I don't mind dealing with a sleep doc but the DME companies are so shady and cost is a mystery so I just buy and control my own. Been happy with CPAP.com since day one. Funny thing is, I have never 'worn out' a machine or had one quit working. I just buy to update to quieter ones with newer technology or better tracking methods and software. I also like to keep a travel machine bagged and ready to go and I like it to be atleast as good as my regular machine.egzbuen wrote:Kinda related inquiry:

I have also bought quite a bit of stuff from CPAP.COM and have always been very happy with them.

Just an FYI in case someone reading this thread does not already know this, but cpap, com has a real "brick & mortar" store in Stafford, TX, which is located on the southwest side of Houston. I live on the north side of Houston so when I decided last year to upgrade from my DME supplied "brick" we drove down to cpap.com's store so we could see the actual machines side by side. Very helpful to actually get to see different brands of machines. It is odd to see the sign on their store say "cpap.com"; never have seen a ".com" store before.
