ResMed Airsense 10

Post by knothead » Tue Jul 19, 2016 7:29 am

Morning,
Just found a (what I think is a good deal) and would like to know if my heated hose off my resmed S9 would fit the Airsense 10. There are 2 of these machines in town, one for 200.00 no hose or water chamber
Another for 350.00 with all equipment. Both have been used about a week. Just wanting to know if this sounds like a reasonable deal.

Thanks

Dave

The hoses are not interchangeable.
The Airsense 10 heated hose has a swivel.
I love it.

The heated hose from the S9 machine won't work with the AirSense 10 machine in terms of heating.
Now will it fit as in just attach....I don't know. I would think it should but I haven't seen the back of the AirSense machines to see if it would just attach well enough to be used without heating function.

AirSense models require a different heated hose to get the heated hose function.

Non heated hose can be used with both machines though.

The AirSense heated hose is $40 from cpap.com.
Looks like the water chamber for the AirSense machine is about $23
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... amber.html
or $33 for the dishwasher safe model.

So for $63 you can make the less expensive machine do everything the more expensive machine will do...assuming we are talking about exact same models.

You might check EBay for those 2 products...sometimes they can be found for less on EBay or at least with shipping included.

Both sound reasonable, but no the heated hoses are not interchangeable (I have both an S9 auto and Airsense Auto). Be sure to check the run hours. Both are pretty good deals!

I don't see where anybody has said this, so,

*find out which of the four models of airsense 10 the things you're looking at are. there's also several aircurve machines that look much the same."

the black machines are either the CPAP (crap junk), Elite, good single pressure, or AutoSet. the white with designs is the AutoSet for her, the plain white/silver is bilevel.

make sure you don't spend $$ for junk.
