Hubby's SleepyHead report for last night - increased min

Post by NormagiJoy » Sat Jul 09, 2016 7:30 am

What do you think???

We've been keeping his minimum at 8 for a while, last night he agreed to let me bump
it up to 9. (so I set the ramp at 8 for 5 minutes).

I am amazed at how well he is doing so soon. He started APAP therapy on June 27, his AHI has stayed below 2.04, several times below 1.00

Also, the numbers we are getting from SH are very close to the ones we're seeing from DreamMapper.

Is there a way to get the number of snores down???

did I post the image correctly? When I'm in imgur, I can't remember if it's the last address box or next to the last?? Need to make myself a sticky note *smile*

When logged in to imgur it's the last box that gives you the clickable link.

Snores...more minimum pressure will likely be needed.
Maybe not much though...maybe 0.5 cm more. It's always hard to tell with snores or FLs. Sometimes a little more will get the job done and sometimes they are a bit more stubborn.
They may be related to sleeping position...if he ends up on his back very much. If that's the case you could maybe encourage side sleeping but that's always easier said than done and since his pressure needs aren't horribly high I think I would just set the minimum a little more optimally and let the machine do its job.
Some of the snores may also be in REM stage sleep where it is common to need more pressure....and since we can't control REM again I would just let the machine do its job but help it out a little with just a little more minimum pressure to better hold the airway open in the first place so the snores are less likely to happen to start with.

like Pugsy said, more pressure = less snores.

and you did great posting the image.
