Aw, come on, Jim. Your head isn't THAT big.
I was once told by people I worked with my head had worn out two bodies. Jim

This is probably neither here nor there, but many of us require lower pressures when we roll to our sides as compared to sleeping on our backs. I have long thought an accelerometer (position indicator), somewhere on the body and connected to the machine, could be used to lower the pressure when the patient rolls to the side.
it'd have to be someone besides the mask, witness the poor kid with his neck twisted off in their presentation. he's on his back, but his head thinks he's on his side.

That was back when beta testers were REAL beta testers.

Fashion the blower module after a stylish pillbox hat, fashionable in the 50's & 60's. Secure it with a chin/mask strap to sit on top of the head, run a small unobtrusive hose from the air module down to supply the mask/interface on the face. Channel Pink would be a "to die for" color choice IMO. ~ http://www.ilovetocreate.com/delightful ... illbox-hat

One example http://www.cpapsupplyusa.com/CPBPack-CP ... yPack.aspx 24 hours run time 900g, which is not sitting on your face. So 3 nights and 4.5x the weight with a 5 hour charge time.
So 2 of these at 1800g gives you up to 6 nights. Not exactly 25,000g like your webpage claims it would take.

So, 6 of your batteries at 1200g vs 2 of the other batteries at 1800g. 2.6lbs compared to 4lbs. I'm not seeing the $1K+ advantage here.[/quote]

Hello Omne,

We think we haven't been clear in some aspects of Airmony, and they seem to be leading to confusion. For example, the battery is not supposed to be inside the device, thus it is not sitting on your face, it is external. Our goal is to make everything smaller and more efficient. Moreover, the batteries won't need to be from any specific manufacturer, you will be able to recharge from any USB power source 2A/5V.

You will be able to find more about technical specs soon in our blog:http://www.yourairmony.com/index.php/blog/

Thank you very much for your interest.

Take a Bra, rework it to hold the battery pack, and wear the pack on your back, that will solve two problems. Keeping you from sleeping on your back, and as long as it doesn't short out completely, a back warmer. Jim

Um...so you don't have an external machine you have an external battery pack. OK. The batteries probably won't be strapped to the head so they have to go somewhere else. A battery pack weighing 200g (a little over what a D cell weighs) worn on the body is going to be pretty painful to lay on, especially for a small kid. I'll assume internal bodily storage is out. So..it's likely that the batteries will be somewhere off the body. So we have wires running to them, which would be a problem if the person rolls over a couple of times, unless they're pretty sturdy wires. Of course since the wires go to the machine on the face it brings the neck into play. Not as much of a problem with hoses since hoses are easier to avoid, I know I avoid rolling on mine even when asleep, and much less likely to get snagged on a person than a wire. Regardless of where they go the connection to the mask is a weak link if any force is applied to the wires.

Maybe it's just me but I'm still not seeing it.....
