Writing a book about sleep apnea

I am writing a book on sleep apnea and wanted to know if anyone had any interesting topics that they can suggest that I can include in the book?

Nope. I've never read a book about Sleep Apnea and probably never will. There are an untold number of them already and many, many clinical studies over the years. I've learned most of what I know from this forum and links to those sources on the Internet.

The book is for people that want to learn about sleep apnea and to try to get more people to know about it,

There is much to be read on the forum; so much more than any one other place;
--including consumer advice on how not to be taken advantage of. --A MUST!
Another good source of general information is Dr Stephen Park's book, if it is out yet.
Mike Moran's book (Cpap Blows) is a sheer delight, and a fun read.
Consider the fact that a successful book needs to be marketable, but be engaging,
informative, and one that readers will talk about and recommend to others.
Although controversy sells paper, please avoid perpetuating BS, as misinformation can cause great harm.
If you can educate some who have not yet been reached, please do so. Thank you.

Have you ever written a book before? Do you have sleep apnea? How did you come to want to write this one?

I attended an annual toastmasters conference to hear the final speech competition. Before the contest there were seminars and I ended up going into the seminar called "How to turn your speech into a book".

I started working with the instructor and thought about different topics for books and decided to write one on sleep apnea.

If anyone has any advice, on interesting topics to cover please let me know. So far I have written 8,000 words for the book.

My advice would be that you be sure not to plagiarize the sticky threads at the top of this board.

We are all writers in this forum providing the answer to your question with every post we make. This forum is an encyclopedia of OSA. Read it. Every day we are all writing that book. What you have done is the equivalent of walking into a restaurant and asking the people there if they have any ideas about where to find food.

I pointed you to the sticky threads above because that is where you will find the best suggested outline for how to educate the public on OSA. Those threads are based on what someone needs to know about OSA and effective treatment for it. Read it carefully. Ask questions.

Sorry for the tone of my earlier replies. I try to keep it entertaining when I can.
