help with remstar auto with d-flex and site navigation
I just want to say that I really, really love this machine. Even with all the glitches I can't tell you how much better I feel today:o) I definilty recommend this one. I guess I should post this over on the thread where they are talking about the difference between this one and the M---it does not seem to unwieldy to me...I need to try spell check before I post--I think my eyesight is going or I am getting tire Sally
The coupler has a washer in it to keep you from pushing it into the machine too far. The medal washer isn't centered in the coupler, it is to be installed with the washer closest to the hudmidifyer, so that most of the coupler is inside the machine. Then the HH pushed into the coupler just enough to seal good. Make sure you have the filters installed on the rear of the machine. Jim
Save the other coupler for a spare.

. No biggie, Sally. Trial and error - that's how we all got to be so smart. ...

For what it's worth, the coupler has a metal ring in it which is visible on the "short" side of the coupler. The "long" side goes over the tube on the machine and the "short" side (with the ring) is what the tube from the humidifier tank fits up against when you slide the tank into place.

Yes, awake and ready to take on the day The 'missing piece" when installed and installed correctly takes all the "wierd noises" away! Probably better for the machine too...thanks for all your help. Now, I do have a couple of more questions...do you keep the little ports on or off on the mask. I have these tiny plugs that you can keep on or off on the top part (side of nose area) of the mask. I find it easier to breath when they are off but not sure if all the pressure is escaping and I am defeating the purpose? Which brings me to my next question. Do I need the software to get any info out of the machne? Is it software I need or just a card reader? I am still so in love with this machine that I can't imagine not having it. I was really not doing well before . I also developed horrible sinus infection and cough on old machine (not heated 9 yo cpap). I wonder if the cough was from the reflux--I was really sick everyday. I did not feel well until evening (I think that is when all the air finally worked it's way out). Thanks again folks!

leave the plugs on the mask, those are for oxygen use in conjunction with the cpap, i superglue all the ones my masks have to make sure they stay closed, cause they have popped off before on my comfortfull 2 sometime during the night and i got to tell you i felt pretty lousy that morning, so i make sure that won't happen again. i do not use oxygen and don't plan on doing so for at least another 40+ years.

As RedThunder said, leave the caps ON those supplemental oxygen ports on the mask. Keep those O2 ports plugged closed.sox wrote:do you keep the little ports on or off on the mask. If you want info out of the machine, yes, you'd need software (Encore Pro) AND a very specific card reader (not just any card reader will do) that can read the Respironics Smart Card.sox wrote:Do I need the software to get any info out of the machne? Is it software I need or just a card reader?
Glad to hear you're doing so well, sox. You got yourself a super good machine. WTG!!
