Getting Resmed clinical reports

Post by davep700 » Tue May 24, 2016 9:07 am

I recently returned my "cassette player" Philips Respironics system one, chose against the "clock radio" Respironics dreamstation and purchased the "smartphone speaker dock" Resmed Airsense 10 Auto and I'm happy with it so far. I still have it on my prescribed CPAP pressure for now.

However I'm wondering how I can get reports to my doctor. They don't work with Resmed equipment in their office. They typically get the reports from Respironics from my transmitted data. If i can provide a clinical report from my CPAP usage, but it MUST come directly from Resmed, not the patient. Is there a way Resmed can send my report to them or do I have to ask them to download from my SD card and use ResScan to view it?

Well, ResMed has a network that health professionals can access to read the transmitted data, too. However, if their patients don't use ResMed and the doctor doesn't have ResScan then he probably doesn't belong to the network.

Alternatively, many doctors get the reports from the DME who can download from the card, or via the machine's wireless service, if they are enrolled. I know you said directly from ResMed, but I think that's unlikely.

Again, I know you said directly from ResMed, but you can download ResScan put it on your computer and create exactly the same report as the DME.

Your best bet is probably to have the DME do it. Check with them. And check again with the doctor, hard to imagine you're the only patient with a ResMed device.

Pretty incompetent aren't they? I would change doctors, unless I was in an area without any good options.
