Not sure why I'm replying to this, but I'll give it a try...one reason why people share their experiences when someone asks a question like "Should I just accept I should never sleep on my back?" is that they may have already made the decision to sleep on their side (or whatever the question is) for similar reasons, and want to help suppport the person asking, and a give a gentle push in the right direction based on their experience. Just to provide a little human experience that reinforces them going in the right direction with this.

That's all, it's just that simple. No sinister motivation or need to run off at the mouth, just reassurance that not sleeping on your back can be done, and is the right thing to do. Don't know if you can understand that, it doesn't look like it. I think that there's time for analysis and there's time for comfort and reassurance. Both need to be done.
