Amazon selling masks without prescriptions?!

Anyone have any idea how Amazon is getting away with selling what appear to be complete masks without prescriptions? Thought that was illegal?

If the masks are not considered "complete" no Rx is required. Replacement parts; frame, headgear, cushion, etc., do not require a Rx and might even be packaged together.

There is no law that says a prescription is required to sell a CPAP mask or a CPAP machine.

Where the confusion comes, Medicare and most insurances require a prescription before they will pay.

Medicare and Insurance are not involved when you pay out of pocket...Prescription required...E-Bay will not allow complete masks to be sold.

I have purchased complete masks from both eBay and Amazon without prescription. Prescriptions for masks are silly in my opinion since a zip lunch bag is more dangerous.

I don't see a problem with Amazon "getting away with" selling masks without a prescription. Where is the danger? My mask is a few bits of fabric and plastic and poses no danger whatsoever to anyone of any age.
