If the equipment is older models .. that are no longer sold on cpap.com they will not show up.
you need to enter them in the additional comments line of in you signature .
As I see you have done
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Some older machines no longer have pictures in them on the cpap.com website. In this case, the best thing to do is to enter the machine make in model in the other comments sections so that it will show up at the very bottom. We also recommend that you set your profile to display your equipment as text rather than images.

'remstar auto' encompasses MANY different models, and "aflex" is like saying "ford with TIRES!"...

*which* remstar auto is it? look for a model or REF number on the label.

I believe that I have this exact model of machine in this video. It sure looks the same?
Resmed10 Airsense. I don't know if there are different versions or types or years built that would further differentiate / identify?

I have an eson nasal mask in small.

I am not doing very well with cpap yet but it hasn't been a week yet so I am not worried.
I do know that I have 30 days to change the machine or mask in for something else. So *THAT* time constraint / concern
is really why I am posting.

I hate to blame the machine as I am sure all problems are my fault, ...BUT ... I would like to know if there is a better machine?
(and why) I wonder when this machine came out? Is it "old?"

I also read somewhere about a "ramp button"? I watched the video and it didn't mention such a button.
I am afraid I may push mine all the time? Since I don't like my screen being dark, I am always pushing the button to see what pressure it is reading.
I push the big knob on the front. Am I restarting any ramp each time accidentally?
(I actually have ramp time turned off, but maybe I am restarting to my minimum? Which is kinda the same)

The eson nasal mask hurts the crack of my nose where it meets my face. OUCH
It hurts most when I am on my side and then weirdly it hurts the side that is UP and not down toward bed ?

I wonder if this is a particularly low level mask given to newbies as a default?

Also, as of "board etiquette?" I am not sure if I have been rude to post in this thread but I thought it was best since this new user has the identical machine as me?
Should I have made a new thread? I apologize to the original poster of this thread if my post doesn't belong here. I just thought it sounded like we were having very similar experiences.

AirSense 10
(in square underneath) Autoset

I believe I can get just about any machine, so I would like to get the best so that by the time I figure out what I am doing, I will have a machine that will meet my needs.
The same for the mask, though I have preliminarily concluded from reading posts here that masks are much more personal preference than the science / technology of the actual machine.

I just adjusted a (?????) exhale time feature? There were choices I didn't know how to answer. I was "off" I turned it on. Picked "all the time" (not "just ramp") and picked 1
(choices were 1-3) Now I am thinking I should have picked 3.

Is that how many points LOWER on exhale than on inhale?

I raised my minimum from 4 to 6.8 a few days ago since I was suffocating so badly I couldn't even use it long enough to get any data at all.
I tend to think 6.8 may even be low(ish).

I really wasn't ready for this ...
Wasn't ready to learn all these new things or even think about "apnea"
I'm pretty grateful to have people to ask as I don't want to mess up this detail of my healing /recovery.

~~~anyway~~~
Should I bother trying to figure out how to upload my sleepyhead data when I know in my heart it's all a mess?
I have used the machine while awake probably 1/3 of the time.
I am not sure if I've ever slept 'soundly' EVER while on machine?
So I tend to think any results would be meaningless.
Except it keeps saying "massive leak" or something like that?
However, I guess getting over the learning curve of HOW to upload results and how to interpret them has value?
Do people usually just upload a single night?
I never had a titration or inlab sleep study. I was diagnosed while in the hospital after multiple 10+ hour surgeries and
many many small surgeries with lots of anesthesia (like every few weeks) for the last two years. I think the conclusion is that this condition was brought
about by all the anesthesia? But really I don't have any "sleep doctor" ... my care is primarily surgical oncologists.
then you have a Resmed (manufacturer) Airsense 10 (model line) Autoset (specific model).
Try and use the proper terms for things. it cuts down on confusion and misleading incorrect information. It took me a bit to figure out that you're talking about EPR, which is what the menu you were fiddling with says. and yes, it's the number of centimeters of water pressure that is reduced on exhale.
yes.
Which is the newest model autopap from ResMed, introduced about a year ago, considered by many to be an excellent machine. For most, it is all the machine needed. For those few with more complicated issues, such as central sleep apnea or complex sleep apnea, more advanced machines are available which require a good working knowledge of the issues, therapy, and machine capabilities to use effectively.
Hi all,
First week done, feeling better already, although I can see me using this for many years, but its for the best.
My mouth was getting extremely dry, I was drinking water during the night, like a fish, so I purchased a room humidifier, as my machine came without one, this has definitely helped, but long term I may have to invest in one that fits the machine.
It has taken a while to get comfortable, what with the mask and tube hanging of my face. I find that to avoid leakage the mask needs to be quite tight and does make the bridge of my nose ache in the morning. Any ideas?
Events per hour, as resmed call them, are down to 1 to 2 per hour, which is better than the 54 I was having before treatment.
The mask wearing is a chore, especially as I have to wear one at work, I am a boat builder, so I often use some harmful paints.
I may invest in a cpap pillow, does anyone have any recommendations.
At the end of the day all this is being for health benefits, so I might as well make it says comfortable as possible.
