I have been keeping a record of my numbers since July, 2010;
In a small spiral notebook, which has outlived a couple of computers.
Murphy has a key to my house.

Re: Rage, Depression - Changes with CPAP?
I have been journaling for 3yrs. I start each days entry w/whatRed70 wrote:I'm trying to do a journal on my computer.
I realized that I don't know how to do one.
Can someone help me get started?
I am grateful for. I end each days close w/what I am grateful for.
In between, write what comes to mind. Start expressing the rage and
depression to your journal. Let the journal deal w/it and you let it go.
Over time, it has caused me to focus on what is good in
my life. We all have much to be thankful for.
The more you realize that, the more there is to be
thankful for. Amazing how it works.
I'll see you on the road.

The secretary at the NSA just called.chunkyfrog wrote: . . . In a small spiral notebook . . .
He asked if everyone could please scan their old notebooks and store them electronically somewhere.
Thanks.
(And Murphy ain't the only one with a key, just so you know.)

Any word processing program will do.Red70 wrote:I'm trying to do a journal on my computer. I realized that I don't know how to do one. Can someone help me get started?
If it isn't too difficult physically, just write in any cheap exercise book. The physical act of writing helps too. I think your mind/body rebels after physically writing the same complaint many times and kicks you into action about it! It also doesn't allow you to edit what you write and the first thing you put on the page is important - even if it is a lie you tell yourself.

Maybe it slipped behind the headboard . . .

Yep.....it takes awhile to heal. Patience grasshopper!
Also....if eventually you don't feel more in control of your rage and depression, you might want to try a medication. They can make a big difference. People seem to really fight taking those...........but if they make your life worth living, why not?
Best of luck to you and have patience. You've gotten lots of great input here.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with asking your Dr. to help you regulate your mood. For a lot of people medication isn't a permanent need but can be a tool to help them retrain themselves to focus on positive things. That said, in my experience, journaling has done more for me than meds could. Being mindful of why we feel / think / do helps us to develop better habits.Country4ever wrote:Yep.....it takes awhile to heal. Patience grasshopper!

To find a solution you must admit there is a problem.
