Knowing the mask would really help.

I can do it with the quatro because the headgear makes like a loop you can wear on your head and let the mask hang down on your face with out using the bottom clips. Then when you lay down the mask will rest gently on your face. Position it were you need it with ether hand... then let go. Take the same hand and take hold of the left strap and put your finger into the loop with the clip sticking out wile holding the loop in that finger grab hold of the mask with the other fingers of the same hand and snap the clip in place. do the same thing with the other side. you can then run the fingers of your free hand under and around the straps to make sure they're all flat and were they're supposed to be.

I agree with consulting an occupational therapist.
If you can use a nasal pillow mask, you might try the tap pap mask.

I just did a test with my mask, and I can get it on one handed without any problem (Swift FX nasal pillow mask)

If you would tell us which mask I may be able to help. I'm a retired OT and this is what I love to do.

This is how my brother originally got his Simplus mask. He couldn't use his arm. I recommend visiting the DME and asking to try other masks. Ones that can be formed to you (such as using velcro) and then slipped on and off is what is going to work.

Sorry for the delay in getting back but I had to go out of town on business and then the stomach bug hit. Thanks for the suggestions.

I have been practicing and finally think I am ok with putting my Quattro on one handed. Worse case scenario is my sister lives next door and I can have her come over before she goes to bed. The bad thing about that is she goes to bed really early and I am a night owl.

Now to find a recliner I can sleep in and control with my left hand and I think I will have everything solved.

Quattro is easy one handed if you always keep on side clipped.

I have a similar problem, but only with my Amara View. I have a permanent finger injury - I badly cut my middle finger on my left hand, severed all the nerves and tendons. It is pretty useless and I have no feeling in the top of the finger. I have a terrible time fastening the clip on the left side because of this. I want to use this mask, but first I am going to have to figure out how to do this without the use of my middle finger.

I could try and work out the steps as I don't stop and think about it much when I'm doing it. I just know it can be done.
I woulda' cut my arm off...or knawd it off!
