Spring came here suddenly and a month early and everything is sending pollen out.
I got some white filters for my PR1 but there must be a trick to them because they whistle like crazy every time I breathe in.
It is driving me crazy! I ripped the things out after 5 minutes and spent 10 minutes putting them in and out to try to reduce the high pitched noise! They are too small by half a millimetre. And yes they are official resperonics for this machine.
Is there a trick to white filter?

You should use the black ones on the outside of the white ones... are you?

Yes I searched here to find out because all I got was an envelop. And my manual is .... somewhere..... (too many moves around for renos to remember where things were "safely" put away)Julie wrote:You should use the black ones on the outside of the white ones... are you?
I couldn't find what to do about the whistle except to remove it.

You could try two white filters together, as long as you get flow good flow.
Your air pump on the machine might have to work a little harder?

I would cut a little frame out of one of those fake credit cards that those bozos keep sending out.
I'd place it in on top of the skimpy filter to help retain it and close the gap along the edge.
Cutting a frame out of a lid off a carton of sour cream or cottage cheese might work too.

I seem to have found the right position for it finally. There is a tiny ledge where it has to sit on. Now it doesn't whistle anymore.chunkyfrog wrote:I would cut a little frame out of one of those fake credit cards that those bozos keep sending out.
