What mask?
Do you mean the anti-asphyxiation valve? Without that, some masks cannot be connected to the hose.
its there to protect you in case of a power failure.

Or is it a ventilation part of some sort. Missing that and using the machine can be really dangerous as it provides a way of eliminating CO2 from you exhaled breath.

It would help if you included in your profile (use the User Control Panel) so that you mask is listed in each post.

Depends on what mask and what you lost.

The answer can be

1) Yes, you'll suffocate.
2) Your CPAP won't work because all the air will leak out.
3) You'll be OK as long as the power doesn't go off or the machine breaks, and then you have a small risk of suffocating.

Take a picture. Post the picture on imgur.com, and post a link here. Mark where the missing part goes, or point to it in the picture.

Also, a note for everybody: this is why you need to keep one replacement ahead on every part of your system, and hold on to old not-so-worn-out parts for in-a-pinch backups. That way you don't have to go without breathing during the time it takes for the dme to get you a replacement if something breaks.
