I was just wondering if my max pressure is suppose to be 20 why does my ipap say a different number then what my pressure is suppose to be
as you can see look over to where my machine informations is under AHI and you will see the max ipap number for example 12.2 the min ipap number is 6.0 also can you tell me what all of the information is on those color coded lines like clear airways 0.23 what does all of that mean is far as my therapy goes does it look like my bipap machine is working like its suppose to. oh here is a picture of my current machine

These are my settings as reported by Encore Pro:
Parameter___________Value
Max Pressure__________25 cmH2O
Min EPAP_____________13 cmH2O
Max EPAP_____________17 cmH2O
Min Pressure Support____7 cmH2O
Max Pressure Support___12 cmH2O
Bi-Flex Setting________________1
And these are the values reported by SleepyHead:
Machine Settings
PAP Device Mode_____________ASV (Variable EPAP)
Min Expiratory Pressure_______13 cmH2O
Max Expiratory Pressure_______17 cmH2O
Min IPAP____________________20 cmH2O
Max IPAP____________________25 cmH2O
PS Min______________________7.4 cmH2O
PS Max_____________________12.4 cmH2O
Flex Level setting____________x1
As you can see, SleepyHead doesn't report Max Pressure directly but does calculate and report the effective numbers.
In your case, it appears that settings indicate a Max IPAP of 10.8 which cuts off the setting of Max Pressure so your machine maxes out at 10.8 cmH2O and not 20 cmH2O.
All that said, the AHI numbers indicate your therapy is doing very well with the majority represented by hypopneas which seem to be common in PR ASV machines, at least that's the way mine reports the events.
Edit: BTW: setting the min and max EPAP and IPAP to virtually the same values limits the range the machine has to deal with central apneas.
