that's a lot of stuff... but what's confusing you?Rickey wrote:Well, i just had to pay over 500 dollars,to the DR and sleep lab. They ask me which DME i want to use, and i barely even know what that is. People on here tell me to buy my own machine, that i don't even know how to use. I thought that's what the DME's were for. I'm not sure its worth it.palerider wrote:if you don't say why you're confused, nobody can help you.Rickey wrote:I'm more confused than ever.
issues you brought up:
did you pick a good DME?
Did your sleep test indicate you have sleep apnea
is it cheaper to buy a machine outright or go through insurance.
you thought DMEs were for what? to teach you how to use a cpap? probably not going to happen.
you've posted almost*no* useful information whatsoever. all you said was you have a 1500 deductible, 70/30 plan.
what did your sleep study say?
how much will it cost you, with your insurance as it is, to buy a machine from a DME.
does your insurance *require* a rental trial period.
have you done the math on the cost of buying outright via an online supplier or a forum member vs your costs with insurance?
why did you have a sleep study in the first place?
do you have a prescription? if so, what's it say?
