I just looked at my paperwork and the insurance company paid $452, and I paid $113, total to the DME was $565 ---> nowhere near the $1250 you claim.
I don't think your DME gets $1250 for a CPAP machine.

A portion gets kicked up to someone at the insurance company.
The excess charges are too, uh, excessive, for that not to happen.
I have no doubt they have gotten very good at hiding the illegal stuff from regulators.
Most likely an extra payment.

Myself, I am a stupidity theorist. Either Puzzled or the person he talked to at the insurance company is too stupid to understand and communicate what is going on. (Sorry, Puzzled.)

update....clinic called. said study showed no sleep apnea......but oxygen levels still go down...my instructions were to loose some weight.
two studys show my levels go down......so just don't know what to do.
