What size mask should I get

Post by K8TEK » Sun Mar 27, 2016 7:46 am

When I originally started my CPAP therapy in 2006, I used the Fisher & Paykel 407 nasal mask.

I hate how the cushion is just a piece of foam coated with silicone and breaks, allowing moisture to get into the foam and starts to smell.

I want to replace it with the ComfortGel Blue because the cushion is gel and not porous and a breeding ground for bacteria.

Should I get the small or the petite size?

Philips Respironics publishes a sizing guide to help you deside which size to order. You can download one from cpap.com and click on the mask you are interested in and then it the top right you will see a button "sizing guide".

Has anybody else used the 407 and switched to something else. I love that mask but I hate the cushions.

Try nasal pillows (I like P10s) if you can, they are so comfortable and minimal.

Just about any mask is more comfortable than that one.
