Change Pressure? or Use AutoIQ?

Post by richart » Sun Mar 06, 2016 1:00 pm

I have just started back trying to use CPAP after never being able to adjust to it. Two days a go I changed to a new mask (Amara View) which is working out great and I think I will now be able to consistently use CPAP. I can see by looking at the SleepyHead data that I am not doing real well at my prior pressure of 12. I am wondering if I should just bump my pressure up to 13 and try that for a few days or if I should use the AutoIQ function of my machine for 3 or 7 days and let it determine where my pressure should be set. Any advice?

A lot of them are not showing up. Just put them in your signature...

https://www.cpaptalk.com/ucp.php?i=prof ... =signature
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
TNET Sleep Resource Pages - CPAP Machine Database
Put your equip in your Signature - SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-1

With Auto IQ you have 30 nights to experiment with auto pressures. Your machine is a fixed pressure machine so once you determine your best pressure, the machine will act as a fixed pressure machine. You could try increasing to 13 and see if your AHI drops or try 10-14 on auto.
