I think he is having denial issues (not being judgmental). He needs to buck up and embrace the treatment as the life-saver that it is. JMO, and no offense intended.
No he is not. He is working hard to solve the issues. It is looking like his issues are not standard easy OSA. Considering he has been at this for just over one week he
is making great progress. Since even with cpap at 14 cm and his mask working well he is still having a high number of events he is right to question his type of treatment and diagnosis.

Just to be clear, I am rooting for his success. Have been since he first posted here. Most of us are here because we question our treatment.

I'm not, and according to the poll only 8% are here because they don't trust their provider/physician.

I think most people are here to solve problems, either their own or help others since they've already been through the refiner's fire and have advice to offer.

Some are questioning their treatment, of course, but there are a multitude of issues surrounding sleep apnea and cpap usage that have little to nothing to do with the doctors and care providers that help us with our sleep apnea.

Once here, I believe a lot of people become more active in their own self-care, but that's not because they don't trust their doctors, simply that they realize that the doctor's resources are limited, and while they aren't doing badly, they could do better if they spend their own time and effort customizing their therapy.

I should have said question some aspect of their treatment. I do trust that my doctors are well-intentioned. I am just not impressed with how they have managed (or not) the process of optimizing my treatment. I think most of them are clueless when it comes to optimizing their patients' therapy unless they have the condition themselves. But obviously your mileage varies.

Thanks a lot for all your replies. I've been on treatment now for nearly a month and to be honest I'm feeling so much worse than before I started. Hopefully trying the new pressure of 15cm tonight will work. I've had migraines a few times after a bad night which are horrific. The main thing I'm struggling with is work as its quite a physical job so I'm only doing part time of 15 hours a week at the moment which as you can imagine is affecting us seriously financially but just one of them things u have to do I suppose. I think I thought it would work instantly as soon as I got the machine as I was so looking forward to starting treatment and feeling better. I'm sure I'm not the only one to go through the problems. Thanks again so much guys
