Really dumb question about S9 Autoset

Post by PEF » Wed Mar 02, 2016 10:54 am

I am trying to inspect the filter, which I think I see behind that little door on the back of the machine (at least I think it is a door).

(I have done searches here and looked in my manual - cannot find instructions on how to operate the door. I have a tendency to break things)

Can anyone tell me how to change the filter - specifically how to operate that little door?

Thanks in advance.

I'll watch for the answer too. I just grab it at the bottom and pull it out. It feels like it will break someday.

Hey, when I get home from work (on lunch now) I can take a YouTube of changing the filter. I need to throw a new filter in there anyway, I am a tad overdue. Mine is nearly 3 years old, no problems yet.

Oh, SleepyStar, that would be so helpful for people. I DID finally get it open just the way Christine does it, but it does feel like it could break. I had to have my husband get it back to closed. I think it is difficult at first. It would be great to have a video of someone who really knows how to do it.

I set a reminder on my phone....time to get a new YouTube account for CPap stuff.

Maybe this will be where I show off my cane sweaters etc too. Making medical stuff more friendly, suppose it all fits in together.

The plastic cover comes off...it's not a door. Replace the filter and reattach the cover...(It's a little tricky)
Information should be in your operating manual.

place you finger nail on the center bottom of the cover ... press gently up/in while prying the cover out/off .
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

there's a small clip at the bottom, take the water tank out of the humidifer and look at the bottom of the plastic cover, there's a little latch/clip, press it gently up and the cover will come right off.
