Need help

Post by Baldbb » Tue Mar 01, 2016 12:33 pm

I currently have a resmed s9 apap. My settings are 8/20. I use the respironics amara mask. My AHI ranges from 3.73- 6.41. Mostly is shows that I'm either in Obstructive events or hypopnea events. When I talk to the pulmonologist his only recommendation is to use the machine more. I use the machine everyday but only sleep about 6 hrs a night. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi Baldbb,

Welcome to the forum. You seem to be very interested in improving your therapy and aren't afraid to ask for help. These are very helpful qualities for your success.

To participate in the Forum and get the most out of the resources here, you need to upload your APAP information into a software package called SleepyHead. It is a very user friendly format. By uploading screenshots (don't forget to blur out identifying info that might be there) and sharing them here, forum members can offer advice to help you possibly improve your AHI numbers or give you suggestions and questions to take to your doctor.

On the front page you will find a lot of the information you will need to download the sleepyhead software and then you can upload the data from your APAP. This is really the big part.

Hope to see you on the forum!

Kind regards,
GB
How long have you been on the apap? Have you always had an AHI of 3.73-6.41? Be ready to answer those questions and a few more.
