Off Topic -Anyone a Rock-hound, Gem, Sea Glass collector?.

Just wondering if their are any fellow Rock-hounds, Gem, Crystal or Sea-Glass/beach finds collectors on the forum? My wife and myself are well sort of just starting out and have joined a few facebook groups and were looking for other resources etc for those interests others might share.

Used to collect Indian beads, and broken glass pieces I found in the alleys, when I was 6 years old. The phase passed in a couple of years. Got a bike, then cars, and girls, after that I never looked back.

I still like Sea Shells, nature makes some pretty things. Jim

And I will bring along my other bag, to pick up stuff that doesn't belong on the beach.

I usually pick up interesting rocks when out and about. Some from vacation or specific trips and some just from walking near home. I have a big acrylic vase I drop them in. My mom and daughter do the same thing. No rhyme or reason for any of us. Just picking up rocks.

Have an interest but haven't done much with it lately. If you are specific in your search, say look up geodes, you can easily find good sites.
