I have new cpap. Resmed AirSense 10. My events are running between 12 and 20 per hour. Any suggestions. Doctor is recommending new sleep study. Tge sleep study I had suggested a pressure of 7 which seemed to low. I have tried a pressure of 9 which is better but only once have I got it below 10 per hour. I had been using a cpap for more than 10 years.

What specific model Airsense 10 do you have? Do you know the pressure setting? Please don't listen to the alphabet troll, he really doesn't understand how AHI relates to machine pressures. You AHI should be below 5 with treatment. 10 AHI is way too high. There is little relationship between AHI and pressure settings. A person with high AHI may do well with a low pressure setting and a person with low AHI may need a high pressure to maintain it. If you were under a doctor's care for 10 years and still have high AHI, you had a terrible doctor.

Exactly which model AirSense 10?
There are 4
AirSense 10 CPAP
AirSense 10 Elite
AirSense 10 AutoSet
AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her

Before we can offer any ideas we have to know the category of events that AHI is composed of
3 categories
Central/Clear Airay
Obstructive Apnea
Hyponea

Could you please start a new thread so that you can get the help devoted to just your needs. Right now it's tacked on to the end of an old thread and a lot of people don't bother reading the old threads.

Hoping you don't have the AirSense 10 CPAP because it won't give you the event category breakdown and it's real important to know.
Get the available software and use it...don't bother if you have the half assed brick "CPAP" model.
