Selling Used Equipment
Selling Used Equipment
I dont want to break any rules but Ive noticed a lot of people here looking for an affordable used CPAP machine. I wont post details here without knowing if its permitted but I bought the latest and greatest (ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset with accessories) for my mom when she came to live with us a couple of months ago. She used it one night and decided it wasnt for her. She has since moved back to my sisters home in Sidney Austrailia. Im located in Los Angeles California but would ne happy to ship the unit (still under waranty) anywhere in the world. Im also willing to part with it for 60% of what I paid for it and be happy someone benefitted from it. If there is another place I should post this information, system details, price and my contact info, please let me know. Thanks. William
Re: Selling Used Equipment
No warranty unless you are personally going to provide it. The warranty normally goes to the purchaser of the unit which is actually the DME, not the patient. The MFG doesn't sell CPAP's to patients.SonofCpap wrote:Im located in Los Angeles California but would ne happy to ship the unit (still under waranty) anywhere in the world.
Assuming it is legally yours to sell, and you have checked places that sell used CPAP equipment to see what it might be worth (they provide service, support, delivery and a real warranty), you might find that 60% of what you paid is way too high for what it is worth.Im also willing to part with it for 60% of what I paid for it and be happy someone benefitted from it
This also assumes that the unit is not considered a Brick (not data capable) in which case few will want it.
Example of a place that sells like new used equipment: http://www.secondwindcpap.com/Used_CPAP.html
Example: $599.00 for a used Airsense Autoset with 1yr warranty, service and support, new assessories, bag, shipping etc.. They back what they sell as well, something you most likely can't do.
Also, you might get a cold sholder from many since they don't know you and you are not a member who has been here and contributed to the forum and are just selling some stuff.
