Did you have water in the humidifier?

Have you tried unpluging and letting it set for a while before plugging it back in? Sometimes this gives it a new start.

If even a small amt of water got in, who knows what damage might have been done... but leave it for 1-2 days and try again (it might have dried out by itself).

The service manual is here:

http://docslide.us/documents/dv54-service-manual.html

And it says error E07 is a motor fault, and that the troubleshooting steps for that include:

1. Open case
2. Check for loose connectors, if any loose, re-seat them and retest unit
3. Check the fuses. If any open, replace and retest unit.
4. Replace the blower unit. If the new blower works, then it's the blower, if not, then the control board is faulty and needs to be replaced.

If you are fine with tinkering with your unit you might attempt the first three steps, but you aren't likely to have access to new parts, only service centers can get them.

If it's under warranty, get your DME involved. If it's not, check with your DME, but chances are good you should just replace the entire unit.
