Is there a chance your hose and tape could mcGiver to the connection out of the blower that normally goes into the humidifier? That should provide basic therapy if it doesn't leak to much.

I have never seen or touched an A10 so I can't offer specifics.

Except I just looked and tried it on my Aircurve and it doesn't have regular fittings for a hose. Just what looks like silicone gaskets around openings that the 2 openings on the humidifier fit up against.
On my Respironics 760 I have connected the hose without the humidifier or cover but I can't figure out this one.

Good idea, but the electrical connections for my heated hose appear to be problematic. I only have scotch tape on me. I am not destructing any more than I need to. I am worried about getting the tape sticky residue off the machine when I get done. Tried some number to DMEs but didn't have success. My Plan...

Go next door to the bar and have a nice salad and good big beer. Come back to the hotel and start cutting cardboard! Let you know how stupid that was in the morning. lol

CPAP guy! You disappeared, but what I really want to know is am I going to hurt the machine by trying? I think I will put on straight 10 and see how it goes.

If the rewards card brochure does not work I may pic a new tank up tomorrow. 30 bucks for being able to move my tonuge when I wake up is so worth it! I am in Burnsville MN for a couple of nights. McGuiver doesn't live around here! I know he could fix it. Thanks for your suggestions. I let you know how it goes! lol
You are just 15 miles from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. They have their own internal DME so that may be a source for a cover or a tank.

FAIL! Save your tape and rewards brochures. Someone mentioned a sensor of some sort at the air outlet in the tank area. That did not function correctly. Taped cover worked flawlessly for the ten minutes I tried the devise. The brochure bent and flexed in and out, but did not break seal. However without that sensor working in it proper environment, the slightest inhale instantly became a huge blast of if air. Enough air that my mask rose off my face and farted uncontrollably. At exhale the machine calmed down and was quiet as a mouse. At the end of exhale started another full on blast of air. Had humidifier off, turned to CPAP and lowest setting possible for pressure, ramp off, ERP off, just wasn't meant to be.

Just like my old mornings now. Dry mouth, headache, tired from snoring and snorting excessively what felt like all night. But I am alive, to play another day.

Oh man! Sorry you had such a crummy night! Do you have a plan to try and get a humidifier today? I can't imagine getting the tank would be hard. They're like $23 out of pocket and don't require a prescription. Just google CPAP store. The Airsense and Aircurve line is probably the number 1 sold type of PAP right now.

I did a quick search for both the replacement cover to use the cpap without a water tank, and also a replacement water tank.

The cheapest cover was $23.50 shipped:
https://www.google.com/shopping/product ... 2838730621

The cheapest tank was $21.95 shipped:
https://www.google.com/shopping/product ... 4366151613

But what are the odds of forgetting the original but having access to the replacement you bought? Having it shipped to you from home will probably take at least a couple of days.

From now on, I will always keep my water tank attached to the machine to try to prevent this - it only comes out of the machine to add or remove water and I'll remember to keep it attached if I ever have to pack it.

The older machines were much better in this regard because you could plug the hose directly into the fitting where the water tank connects if you ever needed to.

Isn't it a beauty! I fall in love again. After 20 some calls, most I hung up on while waiting to some lousy music, I got a hold of a hospital about a mile from where I work. She said sure we have one and you can have it for 22.40. I ran over on my lunch break now I am planning on retiring early tonight. Hope I get all the clinical settings back where they were.

My collection of backups has started. Would not have thought that I would start with a new water chamber.

Thanks much for the offers of a loaner for tonight. What a great group!

Next road trip I take two machines, maybe even two masks.
Our friend left his power supply home last Maker Faire.
Luckily, he borrowed one from his brother, 40 miles away.
