if you don't have congestive heart failure with a LVEF <45% then none of it applies to you.AfibApnea wrote:Apparently, I was not among these patients.
What is:My questions (per the Phillips link http://www.sleep.org.au/documents/item/1838 provided by JDS74 below):
- - low ejection fraction heart failure
- predominant central sleep apnea at baseline
Also:
- - What does “reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF ≤ 45%)” mean?
- Is this the only criteria involved in the study?
- I suffer chronic afib and have a pacemaker (to control heartrate< 50)? Do either of these ‘conditions’ relate to the study?
- - Apparently (BiPap ASV) machines are affected by this study.
- Are ALL BiPap ASV machines affected (I understand the Resmed and Respironics employ slightly different algorithms)?
- Is mine? (see below)
if you had CHF, you'd know the answers to all the other questions. listen to your doctor.
SERVE-HF was a flawed study anyway. and no MACHINES are affected. it's the *prescribing recommendations* that are in debate.
