I just changed all of the settings and it does seem better. I am exhaling naturally the way my body wants to, not the way the machine was set to. I will try tonight and in a few days post my sleepy head. Thanks a million, can't thank you guys enough!

I am in the same position you are in that I am more tired now than I was before. Thank you for posting and I will watch your future posts to see how you may adjust your machine. Mine is already set to auto so now its the slight tweaking that I need help on. Keep us up to date on your progress and good luck!

Here is my sleepyhead info for the night I slept adjusting my biped from biflex to autobi. It helped my apnea but again I was really tired and felt dizzy when I woke. Any suggestions?

you're misusing your terms, I only point this out to help you avoid confusion when asking for help in the future.

biflex has nothing to do with whether your biPAP is in single pressure or auto adjusting pressure mode. biflex is an comfort feature that can be turned on or off whether it's in single pressure or auto mode.

I see you have changed your PS to 2-4, and some of the time your PS is going to 4. I am not familiar with the PR Bi-level machines; I have a ResMed Bi-level. On a PR your PS has 2 settings, min and max, on my machine it is fixed, e.g. 2 is always 2. So with that said, can you show an Events Flag chart and/or a Flow Rate chart that shows where your events are happening? You do not need the AHI chart.

If you look at the chart, the PS stays at 2.0 all night except for the IPAP fluctuations that "evaluate" higher pressure support. The pressure support always returns to 2.0. except for a short period at 03:00 and 0530. I agree without the events, it's hard to evaluate the data.

no forgiveness needed, I'm simply trying to tell you the right terms, and what they mean, so that you can communicate more effectively, the better you can communicate, the easier it will be to get your point across, and understand what is told you, and therefore, the more you'll know.

Palerider, I'm learning a little more everyday and appreciate all the help. It's all new to me and the home health people don't explain anything, so I'll be asking lots of questions here.

there's a lot of good information in the wiki (up at the top of the page) read through it, then ponder for a bit, and read through again... it'll make a lot more sense the next time

Well your CA's went down a lot. Your OA's and AHI stayed about the same. However your HI went up.

So this is the first night you have slept with the new settings, therefore, I would wait a few nights and see how it goes . Your CA's may even come down more. If the HI does not come down, I would make a pressure change. Maybe raise EPAP to 7 or 8. Take it slow and give the changes you make time.

Finally seeing some good results, still tired but not as tired. My blood pressure is way down. I am not waking up with my heart beating out of my chest!!. Many improvements in my sleep. I think Iim just a light sleeper and it's taking me a while to adjust. I have slept 6 to 8 hours with my Bipap on with no wakening. I am dreaming and I don't remember doing this when I first started, so think I'm improving. Sleep rider helped greatly by suggesting going from Bi-flex mode to Auto Bipap. It is more natural breathing to me... thanks everyone for the support. I hope to be posting good results.

Thank you for the update. It is sooo good to hear you are doing much better, and your blood pressure being down is a blessing. Sleeprider is very knowledgeable. I'm glad you took his advice and it worked so well for you. Keep us posted.
