If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

Anything Resmed is good. I prefer Resmed but thats just because I was originally started out on Resmed and I do prefer Resmed brand masks, Resmed makes the best masks IMO.

Phillips Respironics is also good, Ive got one of those two but only use it as a travel machine. They are cheaper though, but really are just as good as Resmed. The big advantage with Resmed IMO is you can adjust the pressure in way tighter increments of .2 pressure, whereas all the other machines only adjust in increments of .5 pressure. I found once my body got used to a specific set pressure, and had to change to a new machine, just a slight change in the adjusted pressure in the computer made me feel not the same as my original APAP.

Thats the real reason I prefer Resmed. If Resmed made their machines to adjust in increments of .5 I'd dump Resmed and go to Phillips Respironics because P & R is cheaper but good.

Fisher and Pykal, IMO they make THE BEST heated humidifier on the market. Very good heated humidifier.

There are a lot of new brands of CPAP/APAPs and Bipaps on the market Im not familiar with. I know only what Ive used, Resmed, Phillips Respironics and a little of Fisher and Pykal stuff.

For straight CPAP, ALL of this gear will get the job done. Its the mask that is critical IMO.
Id be dead by now if I didn't use my CPAP gear every night.

I'm sure I don't have to ask that these machines mentioned are data capable

I know someone who says that bi level pap makes all the difference in being able to tolerate therapy. But how would he know, he never used CPAP, he got started directly onto BiPAP. his pressure is also 12 as mine is.

If you want to be sure you don't get a brick, look at the machines on this site. Any machine with a red NO is a brick. https://sleep.tnet.com/cmd

I think I'll simply go with the Respironics Dreamstation Auto, since my sleep lab says they have a contract with respironics and they will be able to get my reports easily & integrate the data into their system. OTOH the ResMed models have great feedback.

Not sure why the Curve machine would feel more comfortable. or why the 'autoset for her' is better.
